Fall Statistics

  • Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury deaths.
  • Every 35 minutes, an older adult dies as a result of a fall related injury.
  • Every 18 seconds, an older adult is treated in a hospital emergency room for a fall.

October 25 - Mark Your Calendar!

The Oklahoma City Annual Fall Prevention Fair is October 25. The event is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Park Mall (south end) in Oklahoma City. The mall is located at NW 122nd and May Avenue. The event features fall risk assessments. Attendance will help reduce fall risk!
